Are all 123A\'s the same?

I'm inthe Security business and can get a hold of Sanyo's, Panasonic's, Duracell's and others. I heard that certians one are better. I decided to go with the Inova X5 because of the ease of getting batterys (free).

What? Say again with explication.

basically they are all the same. some brands will do better in high-drain applications (e.g. surefire flashlights) and will give you a few extra-minutes of light but in led-lights I guess you would hardly notice the difference.
just make sure that you pick a fresh batch and stick with well known brands and you'll be fine.

Turbo6,

I agree with ChrisA, and I'd like to emphasize that in my experience with high intensity lithium-driven incandescents, whether Surefire or others, the difference between premium and economy brands can be quite noticeable, particularly in the length of BRIGHT runtime, not just total runtime. I have found Duracells and Surefires the best and as far as I can tell they are pretty much equal in "durational intensity". However, I'm not convinced of the difference between the conventional Duracells and the "Ultras". You can get Sanyos and other non-premium brands at economical prices, and for ordinary use they should be fine.
