Are Lithium Batteries Rechargable?

Hi,

I'm considering getting a conversion kit that makes a normal bike into an electric/pedal bike. The only thing is the conversion kit makes the bike weigh quite a bit. One of the easiest way I can see of lightening the kit is by using lithium batteries instead of the lead-acid gel-cell batteries. I know lithium batteries are lighter, but can they be recharged?

Thanks

Do you know if 12volt lithium batteries are rechargable? That's what most of these kits use. 3 12volt lead-acid batteries in series for 36volts.

Thanks for the tip PhotonBoy. I'll be sure to keep the expected lifetime in mind if and when I decide to buy them. I'll have to compare that to the cost of them as well.
