Re: ASPHERICAL LENS PROTECTIVE BEZELS **1ST RUN***SALES**

It looks like you are correct. I sent more the first time than what I thought I did.

I have a couple options for you to handle this.

One, you could just toss in a extra lens or bezel of your choice.

Two, you can just send the $$ back through paypal or in the package. Please subtract what you lost in the transaction so you are not out of any $$ because of my mistake.

Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

PayPal transactions less than 60 days old can be partially (or fully) refunded, and the fees are also refunded appropriately so there is no loss.

Re: ASPHERICAL LENS PROTECTIVE BEZELS **1ST RUN***SALES**

Alan is correct; paypal pretty well takes care of all the calculations and spits out the right ammount. I don't pay those transaction fees for nothing 🙂

QtrHorse: You are welcome; refund issued

3rdrock: Refund also issued and your order will ship out Tuesday 02/17

I know these orders are shipping a bit out of sequence, but please bear with me and I will get to all of them in a timely manner.
Thank you 🙂

Re: ASPHERICAL LENS PROTECTIVE BEZELS **1ST RUN***SALES**

JohnTz: Yes, I received all of the lenses last week, but they will remain factory sealed. However, looking at my own AR coated 123 & 010 I can't see anything on the surface of the lens that looks visually distinctive. In fact the MG lenses in my post pics are those exact lenses. Your order is shipping out Tuesday 02/17.

Awesome thanks nano! I'm looking forward to it. Icarus is going to build me a host and once that is done I'll post pictures. Thanks again for all the work you put into this. lovecpf

Re: ASPHERICAL LENS PROTECTIVE BEZELS **1ST RUN***SALES**

You are very welcome!

On that note I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a light engine, prefferably drop-in, for one of my aspherical hosts C or D? I curently have the KD Q5 and I think a Tera Lux drop-in, but I'm looking for something with more power. Any ideas 😕

Re: ASPHERICAL LENS PROTECTIVE BEZELS **1ST RUN***SALES**

I think the most powerful dropins that you can buy are the Malkoff dropins but these have SSC P4s. Why don't you build your own. I used a HDS-heatsink, a Cree R2 and a SOB 1000 converter.

Why not drop in a MC-E? I know it gives you a funky 4 spot beam, but so what? It's bright!

I actually have plans to build my own, but time is such a rare commodity these days. I also have Setapong's HDS-SSC-P7-Heatsink and a P7 to mount all that's missing is the regulator PCB. What driver do I need for a P7? I would like to turn it into a drop-in like Malkoff's here. How hard is that to do?

Re: ASPHERICAL LENS PROTECTIVE BEZELS **1ST RUN***SALES**

Probably not hard, but I copped out and bought the Malkoff drop-in. His stuff is so good, it's hard to justify tryin to do it myself.

I have it running through an aspheric, and the results are exceptional.

Just waiting for those bezels, patiently...to make the light(s) right.:naughty:

Re: ASPHERICAL LENS PROTECTIVE BEZELS **1ST RUN***SALES**

I'm leaning towards the Malkoff P7 myself, but finding tough to fork out what he's asking. It sounds like it maybe worth it to have a high quality turn-key engine. Tell me is the reflector he is offering with the drop-in a modified plastic mag or machined aluminum?

Hang in there your bezels are coming very soon 😉

Re: ASPHERICAL LENS PROTECTIVE BEZELS **1ST RUN***SALES**

It's a plastic reflector. It works very well, but, of course, you don't need it with the aspheric.

The multiple die LED's look like crap with aspherics. The magnification is too precise and dramatic.

That's a matter of opinion. The P7 works well, with a large and intense hotspot. I don't focus it all the way down to projecting the emitter's image, but leave it a bit looser. It's the best P7 hotspot I've seen so far, including in a variety of 3" heads.

Here is what a focused P7 aspheric looks like
