Already got the sample bezel back from plating this afternoon; man those guys were quick! 😱

The finish looks great, the color is natural, the shade dark and thread fit compatibility is nice and smooth. :thumbsup:

I would have preferred black for the sample, but beggars can't be choosers. I'm just happy that the threads have no fit problems and it was free. I'll try to post a picture later.

Next step is getting the six piece lot down to platting just as soon as possible. Based on the sample run it looks like they will be able to provide a quick turn around.

BTW: The anodizing prices listed on both the thread intro page and my post #103 have been updated to reflect the increase in cost with the more expensive plating company.

Dropped off the lot of aluminum bezels at the platers this morning so I should get them back no later than Thursday morning, maybe sooner.

Here are some pics of the sample bezel that was done yesterday.
 
Looks good, did you get a final price for the bezel in the picture below made out of aluminum HA coated?

I just saw this bezel today on the first page, The F.L.K.D.A.C.F.S.F. Bezel. I did not like the full round style but this fluted version looks nice.

The bezels have already been at the polishers for a few days now so unfortunately we are beyond the point of no return. I may have one I can switch it with, but please don't count on it.

Yes, the final prices have been reflected on the first page thread intro.

I also like the way the fluting breaks up the fins. 🙂 Unfortunately the price tag this fluted version would into the triple digits. 🙁

Yup Lux, I'm still selling them. Not quite like the first run, but they are going. Got'em in six different flavors, two materials and a few finish options. :naughty:

My machinist was very gracious in accommodating me with such short runs on so many different styles. He made my bezel wish list come true.🙂

If I ever do a third run the scope will need to narrowed way down. :sweat:

I know it's been a while since I have mentioned the tail caps, but I will have to narrow down the options to just a D-Mag w/adjustable spring in one material with one finish. However, this will have to wait for now due to prior commitments.

I guess I could still get the interest / feeler thread going in the mean time; I'm just a little out of integrity on that one. :shakehead

I personally only wanted a D tail cap and I have no need for an adjustable spring but I'm sure that will be a nice option.

I'm also fine with a basic bare aluminum finish. No need for polishing. Maybe a HA black finish would be nice but again, not needed. I think a bare aluminum finish would look better than one color.

Maybe a tail cap that could hold one of AW's M6 soft start switches would be nice. I don't think his SF C body switch would work in a high amp Mag build.

Just tossing out some idea's.
