Assuming I'm looking at a LuxIII version to take advantage of the sale - what is the difference between these 4 models? It appears that the head size of the Atlantic and I believe Mediterranean are larger - the old reviews it was a Lux I (Atlantic, Glacier Bay) versus a Lux III (Caribbean, Mediterranean) but does that still hold? ARe all of them Lux III now?

And I assume that the bodies of these and the McKinley as I understand it are all interchangeable... correct?

Hi Gatsby,

Yes the head size of the Atlantic and Med (also Rainier) are the same (20mm reflector) - difference now is the level of power they are driven at (all use LUX III now) the Atlantic is driven at 1 watt, the Med is driven at 1.5 to 2 watts. The Glacier Bay and the Caribbean are both the same size heads (17mm reflector) the difference is the level of power they are driven at (all LUX III now) the GB is driven at 1 watt, the Caribbean is driven at 1.5.

Yes - they all use the same body (CR123).

Hope that helps!

Best regards,

Robyn

Robyn- will the Kino Bay (AA) head fit on a Kili AA body?
I thought only the Baltic (N) and Shasta (N) were interchangable.

I believe that is the case. The only outlier from a battery standpoint is the Pacific, which will not fit the Kili AA bodies.
