I've had a E2e HA which I never took out of the box until tonight. I got a KL1 today and put it on the SF. Man, even if the light is not as bright as I expected, this thing looks terrific!

The fit and finish on the complete unit is perfect. Now the question is, is it too big for EDC? Maybe, but it looks too good to keep it in my drawer. This may be my favorite light (but the week is still young).

They are both very, very nice. I prefer the KL1 on the E1e also (size is a little easier to manage), but if I ever get another, I'll put it on an E2e. A little off topic, but can anyone tell me what the lens on the E2e is made of? Thanks.

cool! Thanks Geoff. It sounded like Pyrex when I tapped on it with my finger nail, but I wasn't sure if Surefire would use it because it lacks the heat of an incand. Good to know that I won't have to worry so much about the scratches.

The E2e + KL1 makes a great EDC in my opinion, maybe a little long for pocket carry but I wear mine in a holster. I was using the V82 holster but with the KL1 I don't get enough velcro closure for my peace of mind. I use my old Mini mag holster instead.

Hellz,
Cut the stitching off one side at the bottom & it'll fit a lot better. Also, if you have any of the LS AA Brinkmans, it makes a great carry for them too. TX

you just left an e2e in a box...unopened?!? how long?

if you decide this isn't small enough for edc..there is always the arc

Rothrandir..Many of my Surefires are in sealed boxes. I've had this E2e for about 5 months. I still have an E2e CJ sealed as well as many G2s amd several M2s that haven't seen sunlight.

With SF prices expected to rise maybe they'll be more valuable when I go to sell them.

p.s. - I do have 3 Arcs that I use, 2-AAAs and 1- LE. They are good for EDC but the E2e is better.
