Radio Shack is clearing out Statpower 150 watt inverters for $30cdn. I use these with a 12v7amp sla battery ($16cdn at local elec supply shop)for reliable, bright, back up lighting.Just replace bulb in any lamp with a 9-13w compact fluor bulb and plug in. Statpower has low voltage shut off to protect battery.
