I bought another Aurora at ****'s yesterday, but this one's a little different.
They're now coating the backplate with reflective paint, and the case has a slit in it where it snaps shut. These seem to me to be decent improvements, although it still does that double flicker thing, and the battery clips still need to be improved.
I think PT is going in the right direction with this light, so if you're going to get one I would look for the newer version. Hopefully we'll see more improvements over time. The light is a great concept, and is well worth developing more.
