Hi,

I'm just wondering if there are other batteries that look like AW's lifepo4 123a batteries.
I got one with the blue wrap (mine does look darker though), and the same text style, that came with my P2D.
I have no reason to doubt the seller, but I never asked where the battery was from.

Part 2. IS it safe to leave it in my Z30? How are they with self discharge?

Looks like the ones sold at KD. I was actually going to pick up a pair for my E1L soon.

They should be just as safe, if not safer, to keep in a light than most any 3.7V Li-Ion's, due to the more stable chemistry. Self-discharge is most like comparable to Li-Ion's, as well.

I don't think AW stamps the LifePO4's with his name, at least not judging by the pictures he's posted of his LifePO4's.

Last I knew, AW was saying that these cells won't be out till the middle of this month (October)? Where are you getting these cells?

I have 18 AW LiFePO4 cells.

They have the same writing on as the one in the pic, "LiFePO4 500mAh" but my AW ones have a slightly larger and different font.

They are white at the top.

The cells available at the end of the month are Limn.

Hmm. What is this LiMN you're talking about?
It is the source of this thread.

Let's see if I can get this all right: AW has a 3P that can run a P7 at max and he has a 3P that can run a MC-E at max. It is rechargeable, ~ 2000mAh, safe chemistry... I don't know what the maximum discharge rate is while holding it's voltage.

Some things have been said, and it sounds like they are very close to coming out. :)
