Hi Gav,
It's probably my favourite light--use it a lot when walking at night. Zebralight on head and Jetbeam in hand to light up wildlife and search paddocks etc.

Entrance open 24hrs, REAL Australian Bush conditions. The darkness and greenery makes a lot of 200lumen LED lights look like a $5 pocket light...

Can find it on Google earth but not the street directory ...

There's a nice cafe/souvenir shop/kiosk at the picnic ground these days, too.

A lovely, gentle half day out. Just go early before the tour buses muscle in...

The picnic area at Sherbrooke Forrest opposite Poets Lane Reception, Sherbrooke is also very good. It has a 1.5km walk to the waterfall.

I'm not sure that coming up to Ballarat has a lot to offer as compared to the more picturesque surrounds of the Dandenongs...

Pick a solid time n date n location around Melbourne , ill bring a beamshot capable camera and some batteries , oh and flashlights .
