I just had a couple batteries leak their guts all over the inside of a keychain alarm remote last night. I got the batteries out (2AAA) and now there is all this white, ice-like substance in there. What is the best way to get it cleaned out?
I also have a portable CB that I noticed had corrosion on the flat battery contacts, even though there were no batteries in there. I used a little WD-40 to get it out and it worked fine, although I don't know if using that was a wise idea or not. I'm also not sure if the stuff the batteries leaked in my alarm remote is the same stuff. Any suggestions?
