Battery pack with LiIon?

Hello,

I've been told by a friend that LiIon Batteries like 18650 ones have to be paired is assembled in parallel and that you can put a maximum of two batteries (2P).
I'd like to build a 2S4P or 2S5P pack with balance charging wires (I have an Imax B6 charger), can I safely do it?

I have made up to 6S with no issues. Just get a PCB with balancing function. You can get from batteryspace.com

+1 or use Jst-xh balance leads with your charger. Your solution must have min voltage protection though.
