Battery set ups....

Hi all. My first post as a new member with what wont be my last stupid question!
I have bought a JETBeam M1xm that will run 4 x cr123 or 2 x 18650. My understanding is that this will have to be run on button tops??
I have on order a MD2 and MD4 with Malkoff drop ins (M91 was free as i was illumination supplies 500thh customer of the year!!).
I need to know what set up to order from AW in the dealers section. Should I go for all button tops or will the MDs run the flat topped 18650s? and would they perform that much better for them if they do?

You have to go with button top batteries anytime two or more
are in parallel. Stay with protected style and normal output types.
The high discharge style that AW sells are only for extreme high
drain applications. Before the button top batteries became available
many users had to put a small magnet in between the two batteries.
That can be dangerous.
