Anyone having the same problem with these things that I've been having. Me and the other few guys on my shift ordered 120 of these things and we all seem to be going through them rather quickly. I've always used Duracells and Energizers (CR123's) and they have always been great. These battery station jobbies seem to have a poor life to them unless we just got a bunch of duds.

Anyone? I am needing to order some batteries this weekend and if there is a lower run time out of these I want to know also pretty quick. I have seen the test charts but is anyone else having this experience in real world use?

They are rated very highly in this 123 Battery Shoot Out thread. I have a dozen of them as an emergency supply, but have not used any to check runtime. All I have done is tested them with my ZTS MBT-1 and all register 100%. I'm still deciding on a DMM, so no measurements.

Sounds like you might have gotten a bad batch. What does the company that you bought them from have to say about this?

For the cost differential between duracells and the battery station 123s , unless the "BS" 123s only last 1/3 as long as duracells it's worth a decrease in runtime. Have you considered the surefire 123s? I have not noticed short battery life from my most recent batch of BS 123s

I have not gotten the runtime on my Peak Galcier that it is supposed to have while using the Baterystation CR123's. I remember reading somewhere a while back that the this was the case (about 1.5 years ago). I bought a dozen of them and still have a few left - haven't used the Peak very much at all.

They may be better now.

I've heard something about a change in the manufacturing. I also understand that they now check all batteries before shipping (they sell the "failed" cells for $.50 for single cell lights) so I'm comfortable using them and have yet to notice any problem.

They suck in the surefire A2 for reasons unknown, but are EXCELLENT in practically all other lights. And when you factor in the performance per cost, they can't be beat.

For the record, they appear to have slightly (like 10% or so) less capacity than a duracell, but that's not a problem since they cost MUCH less.
