Batterystation charger problem

Received my charger and 2 rechargeable 123 batteries this morning. Unfortunately the charger only worked for about 30 seconds before dying on me.

Are these chargers ok to run in the UK, using a travel adaptor, or was I just unlucky?

Update - it doesn't work at all with the supplied power source. With a multi-adaptor I also have, it works for a second or so, depending on me twisting/pushing/half removing the connecting pin, before dying, which would suggest a loose connection, except I've opened it up and there doesn't appear to be any. Weird.

If you got the vehicle adapter as I did
you could try charging it that way.

Managed to get it working by putting a load of blu-tac over the hole and shoving the connector through it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif

Not ideal but it works.
