The part about my shooting group being canceled and still being fully loaded was true. The part about bringing any of it to the meeting was in jest. Sorry for the confusion.

No problem Don. Looking forward to seeing you again. We met at the My Thai meet and I really enjoyed talking to afterwards you are definately one of the people here that inspired me to get my own lathe and mill. I'll have to give you a tour of my humble little workshop.

For show and tell...

I'll be bringing a Pelican Sabrelight (recoil), a 1 million candle power rechargable vector spotlight, a Pelican M6-LED with a McModule installed, a stock Pelican M6 lithium, a stock UK 4aa eLED and a 27 lumen Dorcy 1AA Magnum.

I'll bring some reflective tacks for long distance targets. I'll also have my light measuring equipment in the trunk if anyone wants to benchmark their lights.

I'll bring an un-modded Dorcy 1aa-3led for a give-away.

Who's going to drive out and put up the reflectors - I'll need at least 3 miles.

I'll drop one on the bridge as I drive across, That should give you 5 miles. IS that good enough?

They don't have to be powerful to have a long throw. That's how the marketeers claim 5 giga candle power out of a light that's only putting out 20 lumens.

How about 5 mW. Can you say "Green Laser".

I have been checking the groups anonymously and thus didn't see the PM jpeg sent me about this event. I can make Monday evening if you have room available and we don't get rained out (gadget_lover's post). I may not be able to get there until 7 or so, and no need to put me on the list for food.

yeah, I would tend to agree with just going with it since most of the last meet was indoors. We can turn lights off, use my garage, and hopefully it will let up before the nights over.

If any of you actually believe the weather man, I've got a 5 giga watt pen light I'ld like to sell you for 50 bucks.

I vote go for it. If it rains, we just schedule a do-over - like we actually need an excuse to get together again.

Who's going to create us that "rained out" emoticon?

At least with this much moisture in the air, the green lasers and spot lights should have pretty impressive beams.
