Id like to use the bulb pictured here to build a mag host light.

The bulb is a HELLA 12V 25W Part #8GH 005 597-12.

1) Does anyone make a Bayonet socket adapter, or better yet a Bayonet Bulb socket to fit nicely into my mag? I'd like to be able to use cam to focus the light.

I'm hoping to build a light with aprox. 60-90 min continuous run time, rechargeable, out perform the Mag Charger and Ultra Stinger, and have a tail cap charging port.

Any suggestions? Should I go for a pin type 6v bulb instead and run it on 12 NiMH with 6 series and 6 parallel?

2) Where can I find some nice recharge packs? I see the carriers here, but can't find the shrinked 2/3A (can't remember exactly) packs.

Thanks for all of the help! (new here)

Lumens output?

if it isn't very impressive you can simply use a bi-pin 6volts with soket or a potted bulb.....:)

I'd like to be able to peak about 500 (more would be nice, but I believe I'll loose the runtime too quickly) lumens or so, I believe the Altra Stinger is in the 290 range, but still need a 60-90 min run time.

I may go with a bi-pin/potted adapter, 6v. halogen, reflector, glass, 12 NiMH Sanyo's with 6 in series 6 parallel, for around 7.4v, but am not sure of the output, very new here, and have a lot to learn!!

I think you can use a WA1185....
6volts, 35w(?) but I don't know how many lumens but closer to 1000
