Hi all,
I bought an Ultrafire WF-502B a while back and I'm happy with it. I wanted it to be near where I sleep but I didn't want to knock it over if I had to reach for it in an emergency or otherwise. I thought about a wall bracket or putting it in the drawer of my nightstand and a few other ideas but nothing I was happy with. I read in this forum about some of the pros and cons of those places, noisy pulling it off the wall bracket or shuffling around in a drawer, etc.
So I decided to just make a stand that was functional and pleasing. I used a block of wood from a woodcraft store, cut and sanded it to my liking then mounted it to a hefty piece of steel to keep it from falling and finally added a neoprene base to keep it from sliding and from scratching the nightstand.
I was going to post all the pics here but I already have it on my blog...check it out...let me know what you think.
