Best Charger and batteries for Mag85?

I'm going to be receiving a Mag85 fairly soon. It doesn't come with batteries or charger, so what would be the best option for good rechargeable AA's and a charger to charge them?

(I don't mind buying online,but I don't want to spend over $100 for the charger and 12 rechargeable AA's together.)

Hello Blondie,

You have a few choices for batteries... Elite 1700, Titanium Pow Power 1800, or Eneloop. I believe Battery Space has a charger that will charge 9 cells at 2 amps that is not too expensive.

I use the Titanium and Eneloop cells and a Schulze charger.

I've used this charger in the past for a Mag85 with Energizer 2500 cells from Walmart. I currently use the similar 2-12 cell, single charge current setting one but it is not in stock. The charger is $27 and the Energizers are 4/$10. If you want to order batteries and charger at the same time, the Battery Space AAs are 12/$19.
