Best charger for Pila 600Ps?

I'm looking to get hold of some Pila 600P cells shortly and am having trouble finding out if Pila's own charger is necessary, or even a good thing at all.

Just now I have a DSD charger, that I got along with some of AWs 17670s, so would this be just as good as the Pila charger for the 600Ps? I've seen a few people suggesting that the Pila charger was actually damaging even to Pila own brand cells, is this really the case? If so what's the best out there?

The only reason I am going to splash out on the Pilas in the first place is to get the extra performance out of them, so I would like to have them charged to perfection! If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it.

The new Pila charger is a "smart" one, AFAIK, and better than the original version. That said, the DSD should do equally well charging Pila cells.

welcome to cpf... don't do prepays and learn about li-ion before purchasing.

get a pila charger which truly terminates a charge VS DSD charger goes to trickle mode after charge light goes off.

note this is valid only for NEW pila charger. older pila charger were dumb chargers and depended upon pila cell to terminate. those you don't want.

The Pila IBC charger is the only Li-Ion charger that I have , and It works great for AW cells and Pilas obviously.
I even use it for unprotected cells.It fully charges those too.

Pila new IBC charger like they said is the way to go. It charges each slot separately and intelligently.

In the meantime, I'm trying to get an RC supplier/vendor to fabricate a 10-12 slot battery holder that will have adjustable/spring contacts with individual taps that can be used to balance charge each cell, and different cell types would fit in it.

Then you will need a higher power charger that has cell balancing capability for Li-Ion/LiPo cells.
