Was wondering what the best drop-in would be for my 4c mag? Was thinking about a TerraLUX TLE-6EX, would this be a good choice or is there a better drop-in out there?

BTW does anyone know where I could find a runtime graph for the
TerraLUX TLE-6EX??

Which drop-in is best depends. What are you looking for in this upgrade? Would you like one that lasts longer on a set of batteries or would you like one that is bright, but with short runtime?

I think one can guarantee that Gene's (Malkoff Devices) C-cell dropin is the best readily available, since Magled/TerraLUX type dropins are limited by their (non-existent) heat sinking.

All of these however are much better than the stock mag bulbs, and the TerraLUX dropin is still recommended due to its availability and decent performance. It's just that the Malkoff dropin has it beat. :)

I'm using the TerraLUX drop-in in a 3-D Mag converted to 4-C. I'm very happy with it.

This is what the Malkoff C Mag drop in looks like.

It provides a thermal path from the LED to the Maglite's metal body. Enables you to run at high drive currents with NO DIMMING after 5 or 10 minutes. Runs about 3.5 hours in regulation (~240 lumens at emitter) with 4 C cells.
