Are you looking specifically for a LEP flashlight or just a normal LED one?
If the latter, I can definitely recommend the Acebeam P16 Defender for throw.

Whose pockets? What is "mid-sized", to you? The throw distance is going to depend on brightness and collimation, primarily.

Again, take a good look at the P16. I love mine when I need throw in a compact package I can clip to my pants pocket.
