Which options do I have if I want to boost the output of my 6P?

I've looked at the Lumens Factory bulbs, and the EO-6 (200 lumens) seems a good choice, but the runtime will only be about 40 mins.

There's the D26-LED also from LF, but I don't know how many lumens it puts out and whether it will increase runtime.

Are there better options? Do LED lamps increase the runtime?

Chris

Add a Malkoff M60 for shear power. Great run times and 235 lumens! Hands down...this is the BEST drop-in you can purchase! You will also increase you run time! Gene Malkoff offers so many options (M60, M60W -warm if you like an LED that has a slightly more incan look to it). Check it out! Good luck!

The LF LED modules should give you ~200lm.
A quick - and possibly incorrect - calculation gives a runtime of 1:30 for 2x AW R123 cells.

I have the BOG (Bug Out Gear USA) super premium CREE Q5 drop-in in my SF 6P, quoted as approx 230 lumens, and 3+ hours total runtime.

Policetacteam, herbicide, Kiwi_sg.... the OP has posted this in the Incan section, so we must assume he wants to hear about incan solutions rather than LED ones.

Actually, you are quite right - I missed the last part of his post. My mistake - apologies.

garland, would you like me to move this into the LED Flashlight section?

If runtime is the game then the M60 will deliver brightness and 1.5 hours. If you need it to have a warm color with the added runtime the M60W. Now if you need it with insanely bright and warm tint the MC-E warm version from Malkoff it is.

I would get the incandescent lamp from Lighthound. Yeah the runtime will be less but you will have plenty of lumens, flood, and more throw than the M60. I was playing outside yesterday with the M60 and the 9V Xenon drop-in from DX and it had the same spill as my M30WF and it threw further than the M60.

Incan=great color, throw, but runtime will be less. The side spill is amazing similar to the M30WF. I got the 9v xenon for under $3 at DX.
M60= great spill, less throw, more runtime. $55 delivered, but its the best LED drop-in I have.
M30WF= Impressive tint. It looks like the 9V incandescent tint. WoW!!!!

Note: the M60 has a lot of throw, but IMHO to my eyes the incandescent lamps always produce more. Nature of the beast or is it??????????

OP,

What are you going to be using this set-up for?

Me:
Indoor use I like flood LED because the batteries last forever and Malkoff makes it impossible to resist.

Outdoor use I like incandescent. More throw, great flood, and amazing color. Plants, trees, dirt, ect.. appear correct.

I'm open to suggestions and advice. Until I recently got the 6P and Wolf Eyes Rattlesnake with 12V WE incan lamp I'd only used LEDs (Fenix PD20 and Tiablo A9), but I was shocked and impressed with the amount of flood from the incan lamps.

Are LEDs generally more efficient and do they produce longer run times than incans?

I'm very new to all of this and am picking up bits of info all the time, so everyone's patience and help is much appreciated.

Yes to both those questions. For this size light, LED lights have a very clear advantage over incans, unless you use IMR cells and hotwire bulbs (but you'll only get very brief run-times with those set-ups).

Incans really start to come into their own in larger lights.
