Does anyone make a replacement head for a 6P with more throw or a larger diameter head with adjustable focus perhaps. If so can it be used with P60 or P61 lamp assemblys?

Surefire makes the 2.5" diameter KT1 Turbohead for the 6P. It comes together as a package with the N1 (65 lumen) lamp that it requires. You might want to check that out..

All of the SF lamps are prefocused. The stock bezel/lamps give a pretty good hotspot as-is. If you want to "defocus" that, get a beam-diffusing flip-cap. Sounds like you want more throw, so one of the turboheads with the N1 lamp might do the trick for you.

There are four main types of TurboHead that will fit the 6P (using the N1 Lamp Assembly)

The KT1 is the current version.
The "SRTH" is only available from LPS (SureFire Dealer)
The other two are discountinued long ago and difficult to get hold of.

Any idea why they let the CNC guys take over everything? I really, really like those old Turboheads. Must be easier to make, too.

There are good reasons fore and against the move to more styled designs. Personally I think they made the right decision.

The KT can accept the FM2x BeamFilters for a start. They have a bit more mass for better thermal management, and are obviously SureFire by style. They are also easier to unscrew.

I still haven't gotten used to the new ones. The older SFs across the board look better in my book. I don't like flashlights that start looking like Star Trek props.

The Star Trek Series they call "Enterprise" used the M4. Obviously the KT style was too futuristic...
