I think I know the answer, but thought I would pose the question to see if I can make my life easier. Any help is appreciated as always.
I purchased an Elektrolumens triple Seoul P4 Little Friend with the intention of using it with some modifications as a bike light. Here was my plan:
1) Shorten the body
2) solder in a bFlex
3) wire to an external battery pack such as BatterySpace 14.8V 5A
However, I tend to leap before I look and realized that the LEDs are wired in parallel. Knowing that the flashlight was designed for direct drive on 4AAA this wiring makes sense. However, If I want to run it from this battery and through a bFlex it seems like the potential differences in Vf could compromise this design.
Is this correct? or Can this set up drive these LEDs in parallel?
Do I need to rewire the LEDs in series and then continue as described above?
Thanks again. My Little Friend is suppose to arrive tomorrow so I would like to get the mod done this weekend.
