I want a light that is functional as a bicycle light (good spread, bright), that is led of course, that has long battery life, but can be easily removed when I park.

You know those cheap led lights that have 3 AAA batteries in a plastic "core" that you can get at any point of sale counter at any roadstop gas station in America? I imagine that, but with a core of CR123's or 14500's
But if it's too thick, there may not be a handlebar mount for it... Thanks

Highly recommend the TwoFish Lockblock. Can be had for $7.50 shipped. Throw in whatever flashlight you want. I prefer smaller sized lights like my 47's mini123 so I can put it in my pocket. What is your budget?

I'm hoping to do it for around $100. I already have a charger, though, so no worries there. I set a target of $100 because for $110, you can get a Lezyne Super Drive XL which is their take on a XM-L light. 2.5 hrs @ 350 lumens, 1.5 @ 500 lumens. Looks fantastic, the only draw back is it isn't shaped like a flashlight for non-bike duty

Do you have 18650 batteries? If so, there are many good 18650 lights under $100 from various different companies.
