I finally got my photo bucket working again so I'm going to try my hand at beam shots. I only have average quality cameras. Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P10 and Panasonic DMC-TZ3. Any suggestions?

PUt the camera on the same exposure for all shots and you abosulutely must use a tri-pod.

I am curious assuming you use the same lamp; which reflector will offer more throw. I have the 2.5in Throwmaster too and it makes a pencil beam out of everything I have thrown its way.

The 2.5 TM works well with the 1185 bulb in the red light and will out throw the FM3X head with this bulb. On the other hand the 2.5 TM head doesn't do as well with the 64458 bulb in the green light. The FM3X produces a very round, intence hot spot with the 64458 bulb with quite a throw. I wonder how the 2.5 TM head does with the FM1909 bulb.

I have that FM 1909 currently with the 2.5in throwmaster and I get a pencil like beam too.

I have some indoor beam shots on a white wall @ 12.5ft.

The camera I am using doesn't have manuel shutter speed but I can adjust the brightness. I had to do this with the m*g458 on the white wall @ 12.5ft. It was blinding.
Edit: Outdoor beam shot comming when the weather permits.
