Hello everyone,

I am planning a super mod and I need a very large, around 15", metal reflector. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanx in advance /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Cake mixing bowl ? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Or maybe from a 110 VAC lamp of some kind (specialty lighting store.) Sorry - its Friday and almost 5pm = these strange ideas come out sometimes.

Thanx for all your help guys.

I don't really care how deep the reflector is as long as it gives me a pencil/close to pencil like beam if it had a standard bulb in it.

Uh... wider does not always equal to pencil beam.

For e.g. , the one from edmund optics should reflect quite well, but there will be a huge amount of spill. Only maybe 30% goes into the pencil beam. Whereas the second link I posted, I think it's going to give you a rather diffuse light despite it's depth.

15" reflector that cast a pencil beam... now... I think that will cost a LOT! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

yes, yes. Pencil-beams are hard to get for cheap in big reflectors.........but the size is not for just the shape of the beam /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
