Hello,

We are PHX INC, a small product development company based out of Evanston, IL. You may remember us petitioning the biking community around september to fill out a survey regarding bike lights. We are pleased to announce that with your feedback, we have made significant progress in developing this light. We thought since many of you inadvertently helped in the development of this light wed share with you some of the strides weve made (and as usual feedback is always appreciated). Following the survey results, our team purchased a number of the most popular bike lights on the market for some in house testing. This involved testing lumen outputs against the factory spec in our very own DIY integrating sphere (the results were fairly accurate) (props to precisionworks and run4jc for the great tutorial posts) and doing beam shots in a black out room we constructed in an empty apartment building behind our office. With all this data assembled, we began turning this data into 2d drawing, expressing what we felt was a combination of the best user insights and features of the lights we have tested. What we have come up with to date is a dual beam headlight consisting of a more powerful top light (700 lm) and a smaller lower light (100 lm). The intent is to use the main light as a to see beam, seeing is it has a very powerful output. The secondary light would serve as a to be seen light and typically be used as a flasher (although both lights would have a steady and flashing option). As mentioned before, we are open to any feedback seeing as you would be our potential customers. Thanks!
