Finished Deadwood series last night & gotta say a bit of a headscratcher.
Clearly full intentions for a season 4 and it didn't happen ////
This is why they released a movie to finish the series many years later,, that's fine with me.

Still highly recommend.

note: if swearing offends you, stick to CSPAN hearings on VHS

There's swearing, and then there's Deadwood.

They're tossing the F bomb in the Senate these days. "My friend from the other side needs to get his ******* head out of his ***".

Senate hearings, rated R, some language not suitable for children.
And at times British Parliment can be a cross between a WWE match and a Jerry Springer episode. 🫣

Wasn't going to mention this, but I also picked up Sherlock while back since it was so inexpensive.

Tip: watch the alternate/special episode first.."The Abominable Bride"
if you can get through that, the rest is a piece of cake (or tea biscuits)

That's as nice as I can be.

Picked up the complete series of Justified on Blu Ray for only $64 on ebay(that's about half price),, arrived today.
Was a bit leery on if it was even the right Region Code etc..

Put it in & got the Sony Pictures stuff then the copyright warnings.
After that the Justified Menus, went through those, and clicked on Play All

Worked perfectly

the ebay seller has 99.8% Feedback if interested

I have been watching stranger things. As I grew up in the 80’s it really brings back memories.

I've just finished watching season one of "Counterpart" (10 episodes) with J.K. Simmons and Olivia Williams, excellent drama I think. It's shot in and around Berlin. The science-fiction aspect is there, but minimal and does not over-power. Ironically I earlier got my hands on season two, and watched it first.

Thanks for mentioning Counterpart

Picked up season 1
it's more like watching a movie, a complex spy'fi movie, than a series.
Certain I'll get season 2

I've just borrowed Season 2 to rewatch, funny it was not all that long ago but forgot most of what happened. I guess it's a result of watching out of order. Yes, it's like a (very) long movie, sometimes need to break off part way through.

Just finished watching Luther season 2 last week. One of the psychotic serial killers was played by Lee Ingleby who has played in other British series including Line of Duty, George Gently, and drama mini-series "Innocent" certainly worth watching.

Back to Luther, a different serial killer (actually twins) was played by Steven Robertson. At first I could not place him, then realized he plays a detective in Scottish series Shetland. Really eerie character, suspense right up to the end.

Watched the movie Deadwood last night, to be the Series Finale to the original series.
It was supposed to tie up loose end from where the series left off,~`. not really
Must say it didn't really tie up anything and to be honest left more loose ends than the series, especially with Hearst

So if you watched the series and think you absolutely need to buy the movie,, you can give it a pass.
Just my opinion

Also, not enough Mr. Wu 🤮

Loved the Justified series!

Tried to watch the 2023 Justified: City Primeval, reboot and lasted about 20 mins.
They stripped out everything that made the original wonderful and dumbed it down with idiotic cliché-ridden writing. (n)

The only good thing about City Primeval is Boyd's return at the end.

I am watching the original series for the third time.

One of the best lines in a series comes from Justified.

something like this::; "I know 50 men in this building who would pay good money to smell her gym clothes"
that from a judge
