It seems to affect layers and not broilers. Broilers can be warehoused frozen. Eggs cannot. Btw we had 2 seperate poultry farms burn to the ground here recently .about half a million chickens lost

LOl a a few months ago i boughy a egg mcmuffin maker it was so fun and worked great now i cant afford eggs . I loved eggs egg foo young egg freid rice etc etc

Yeah, the 'bird/egg' thing happens every 10 years or so. It was swine flu then mad cow, then bird flu, then swine flu again and now bird flu again. Sux for sure.
I bought a new cast iron skillet and went to get some eggs for the first time in about a year and about shat on the floor when I saw the prices.

I miss living in the country sometimes. I rode my bike to the farmer down the road and picked up eggs twice a week growing up.

There are so many with the potential to mutate for human interaction ...... And as C19 showed us , politicians move at glacial speed to stop the spread .. U know , close the gate after the horse has bolted . Stupid people scare me the most ! ( Very recent history )

I was listening to an infectious disease specialist today who said that if someone catches the regular seasonal flu and the bird flu at the same time, the two viruses can swap genetic code and spin out a new variant from it.
