Standard Chrome Elephant no more…….

Commissioned by CPF'er griff, the Moby **** "Trinity" (MDOX-6-E) is the supercharged collaboration of CPF legends Led Zeppelin and Lux Luthor which took more than fifteen full hours (light plus battery pack) to build and is unlike any other flashlight in the world.

Beginning with the provided Chrome Ellie HID host, a 120 mm extension, and a deep tailcap, the Trinity, when all said and done, would boast of three 1000 lumen 6 die Ostars and three Cree XR-E WG emitters, all on a Moby **** aluminum heatsink, powered by a custom 14.8 volt 12 x Emoli 18650 Li-Mn Lux Luthor battery pack.

The light measures 14.50" from stem to stern with a head diameter of 3.20". It has an infinite number of low to ultra-bright settings on its super-smooth potentiometer switch, highlighted by the signature LED ZEP stamp and a green tritium marker. The beam is round, white, searingly bright, and capable of significant retinal injury.

What makes the light ever more special is the builders' attention to detail: included in the completed package with the light itself was a typewritten sheet entitled "Trinity Tips" outlining the important things to remember when operating the light, a detailed invoice of every part and labor cost, and, most impressive: a typewritten two-page "Build Log" outlining every single step that was performed on the mod – including break stops! – and every test and subsequent result. It was apparent that this masterpiece was not leaving the master until he had checked every connection, run every test, cleaned every part, and polished every millimeter. The detail and the attention given to this project were extraordinary.

Needless to say, this is a very special build for a very lucky flashaholic. Enjoy it, griff!

Okay, I think that covers it.

WOW. What ana amazing creation! Great job to the modders, congratulations to the owner, and once again....wow.

That poor heatsink! Those ostars run hot, so I can't imagine having to handle the output from three ostar LEDs. Just amazing.

Well done!

Ok ,,i have to ask
How would just one of the big reflectors + a 1000 lumen 6 die Ostars compare to the new spear in throw
Oh yes whats the price for one of the big reflectors + a 1000 lumen 6 die Ostars :sssh:

Wholy smokes. That is:sick2:. Don't shine it in anyones face it'll make you:sweat:.

Beautiful, just awesome:twothumbs. No wonder Griff doesn't return my calls these days:sigh:, he is a true HIGH ROLLER now.:naughty:

WOW. That is absolutely UNBELIEVEABLE. Yeah I think that takes the cake as the nicest flashlight I have ever seen. Cheers to Zep and Lux for creating something so incredible!

Raidfire spear? I highly doubt the spears beam would even appear when put next to this thing.

Holy mackerel!

That's a work of art.

And probably a dangerous weapon.

I approve.

Thanks Troy for the review and kind words.

Creating Trinity was a challenge . Every aspect of the mod was pushing the limits, and fortunately persistance and patience paid off. The light performs as originally intended and then some.

Thanks to Griff for bearing with me through the details and rebuilds of the light, and LuxLuthor for the awesome pack that allows the performance and runtime.

WOW! wait.....

WOW !

I now realize that I really had no idea all the features that LZ was creating with this baby. A FREAKIN' custom imprinted/tritium inlaid potentiometer dial !!! That is an amazing work of art, LZ. :twothumbs

This light set a new standard on custom work.
