Can someone tell me if the Blue LS has a more turquoise color than cyan? My Cyan LS is more Green.

Thanks, Mike

My blue LS is, well, blue. Very blue.

My cyan is very green too. Apparently this is the way they are (the low dome ones, anyway). My cyan LS second is a different shade though, leaning a little more towards what most would consider cyan.

No complaints here though. They're all darn bright. Love 'em.

I have a blue LS, but it's the so-called "Royal Blue"; a deeper and more narrowband blue lamp than the typical blue you see in a blue LED.

So, the royal blue is *VERY* blue, that much I can tell you.

I've never seen the standard blue or the cyan (or a green for that matter), so I can't comment on those two.

My Blue LS is also VERY blue , and my cyan LS LD is a bright green. GRAHAM - is your cyan LS that is more cyan colored - is it a HD LS ?

I don't know, EMPOWERTORCH. I'm running my cyan LS directly (no resistors) off of 3C batteries, and it is still pretty green.

I have found that the cyan LS assumes a more distinctly turquoise color when overdriven (Vf=approx. 3.8v). Just be careful of your heat sinking as these suckers get way hot (+70 C @ the PCB). I have operated a cyan LS/O for hours and hours (on both battery pack and non-regulated power supply w/ dropping resistors) on a home-made 6051 multi-disc heat sink and haven't let the smoke out of one yet.

My blue is more turquoise in color. Ordered the "blue" but have never seen an other one in person to compare. Just figured it was the way they were.

My blue is a VERY deep blue. Kinda like Craig's I guess. My Cyan looks "cyan"...kinda like a white and a green put together...

Aloha
