Just wanted to say thank you for suggesting the EOS! My headlamp was leaps and bounds brighter than everyone else's in the caves tonight :naughty:

Not only was it bright but it went very very far too. It was super in the caves and lit my way down the mountain when night fell.

Here's some pictures from the hike:

You must mod this (if you have not done so yet). So easy and the results are amazing. Just do a search. CPF member ktronic seems to be the expert and has many posts on this. Just check it out!

I'm not a flashlight junkie, no offense, just don't know how to do any of that mod stuff and I'd probably screw it up lol. It was really bright tonight though; more than enough.

He he he...

Travisty! If you were in town, I would do the mod for you! If you can solder an big wire, you can do the mod. If not, find someone who can!

Howz about this, for an extra 11 - 15$ you can double the output and give yourself about twice the amount of spill with the same runtimes.

:D

Well, i tend to wear the head lamp like H E R !

That the beam will always illuminate the front then to move around with head.

I wore it on my forehead and used the angle adjustment to focus it on the ground better. I don't know how to solder or have equipmetn to do that stuff =(

Its really easy to solder and do flashlight mods. Here I'll give you a step by step instruction:

1. Go get a ten dollar solder iron and some solder from radio shack.

2. Find junk lights and wires and stuff to practice with.

3. Start retrofiting lights with brighter leds and the like.

4. Never look back.

enjoy!
