"Break in, refresh, forming, conditioning," how different are these?(BC900 maha 9000)

I was looking into these and several other charger's and wonder just how different some of these setting are. Many sound the same. opinion's? VDG

Indeed, they are all very similar. You could simulate some of these modues using others.
Say Brak-in on Maha9K is something like 0.1C for 16 hours. On BC-900 you could set the charge rate to about 0.1C and charge, except it will stop before 16 hours expired.
To be honest I am not really sure about details, such as forming vs conditioning.

Something to understand about the BC-900: It ONLY works off peak detect charging. Meaning, it cannot and will never do a proper C/10 timed charge. That's where the Maha 9000 comes in with the break-in mode.

Want a charger that will do 1-10 cells at once?
How about one that will do the above, but times two?
Adjustable from 5ma to 500ma in 5ma increments via a three digit display?

I have this charger along with a simple digital lamp timer purchased from Home Depot that starts (powers up) when I program it and powers down at the appropriate time. The DDVC keeps the charge rate even when powered off, so I set the lamp timer to power on at "X" hour, then power off after 16 hours. Simple.
