Was in WalMart and found an Ozark Trails 6 volt lantern for $3.96, battery included. It throws a very nice tight spot out past 75 yards or so. Told my coworkers and ended up going back for 17 more.

You should go and get one of the Rayovac/Eveready(can't remember which it is) ones that comes with the battery for like $5. It's the one that has a rough finish to it kinda like a toad's skins, dimply. The body is one color and the bezel is black. Anyways, I had been running a Krp103 bulb in it which i liked but I decided to try out the stock bulb out of a Princeton Tec 40, and now I LOVE IT! You talk about a "spot" light!! It will easily light someone up at 100 yds+! The tec40 bulb may me a higher voltage(less overdriving) but it's still very white and bright and it made the beam very tight and pretty uniform. I love playing /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif with this light now, shining it up in the sky, especially when it's overcast at night.

Sometimes the inexpensive lights can really surprise you! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Is this it? If so, it's an Eveready.

No, actually now that i think about it Im pretty sure it's a Rayovac. It has a dimpled finish. It's actually a little shorter than most of all the other lanterns.

I'll try and find a picture.

The light I was talking about is the Rayovac Value Bright lantern. Picture on their website but I was unable to copy it.
