I slowly getting my collection up and running but it seems like everytime I want a new light I want something much brighter than the last. Is this strange to you guys? I don't see myself taking a step back if you will..

I am trying to get or make every next light better and brighter etc too :lolsign:

It is some kind of -=EVOLUTION=- :grin2:

I'm always looking for something brighter but also with more runtime. I would love a 150 lumen light that is pocketable that will last over 1 hour fully regulated. The current run of lights (Amilte T5,Fenix P1DCE) are pretty close to this but are still a ways off. The T5 runs for 50 minutes at around 120 lumens. I too would never want something less bright that something else I already have. Maybe it's because it will be less impressive and I couldn't possibly justify it.

Its quite normal to want something brighter,
I was into the Luxeon powered lights until I heard about Cree and Seoul Leds

The light that seemed so unbelievably bright a year ago is still putting out the same number of lumens that impressed you back then.

Unfortunately I went from Luxeon to Cree to Seoul to Edison Opto, and finally had to resort to Incandescent to fill my brightness quota. DM51 knows about my crazy fanatics :grin2: .

Absolutley normal 🙂

My pruchases are all about more lumens.

For ex.

1 year ago I got my 218 lumen Magcharger. Several months later I get a AE24W HID rated at 1300 lumens. And then after that I got my 3500 lumen Rayzorlite.

Now I'm thinking of the 8500 luemn BarnBurner. Well maybe 😗

Triple Post :barf:

Sorry guys, the server crashed & I guess I clicked the submit button to many times.

That's just rediculous! I am kinda the same way but the Barnburner is just too much! I have a Sam's HID, do you know how many lumens it is putting out? I was thinking around 3000 or more. It is pretty incredible in terms of throw and output.

I believe its about 3200 lumens. But compared to the BB, it stands no chance. Not even the monsterous Costco HID with one of the biggest reflectors around can throw farther than the BB. Thats insane. 🙂

The Costco HID sure is one crazy looking light though. 🙂

I remember when we had a get-together in a park in the winter and 4sevens left it on the entire hour. I'm sure the people driving by though we were CSI or somthing. 🙂

HI there 021411,
Every purchase that I have made so far being a flashaholic have been spot on. It depends on what individuals are after. For me, its not just lumens or runtime specifically. What I look at first is the need, as it just wasting money getting something based on inpulse. Yes it does feel good to buy stuff but is it 'needed'?. There is no harm in trying new stuff but many 'misses' can really put you off and at a much lower cash balance....he ..he..he

gah.....i'm a little too late, good purchase dm. i guess i have to look for nearby stars instead. anyone know what the shipping cost will be for one of those?
