Brightest bi-pin 6V bulb?

I'm in the market for the brightest bi-pin 6V bulb I can find. There's a catch, though... it has to be able to run on 2x123. What's the best bulb I can get to meet my needs?

Maybe you can get the lamp out of a P61 somehow.

easiest thing to buy for a cheaper price would be the scorpion bulbs from streamlight

What's the host? If it can take a T2.25 or T2.5 size bulb, there are a few in the Carley and WA lineups that are pretty bright.

Ginseng, I'm working on a mod to my Brinkmann Legend LX. What fits in there? I can drill out the reflector as needed, so long as the bulb can be coaxed to plug into the bi-pin socket on that light.

Yes, Scott, use a replacement bulb for the PT Surge. It looks like a genuine Welch Allyn, and believe me, it is very bright and rugged...
