Brightness/runtime compare A2, E2, Twin Task 2L *DELETED* *DELETED*

Re: Brightness/runtime compare A2, E2, Twin Task

Brightnorm,

I'm not convinced the Streamlight TT is identical to the Xenergy, at least the TT 2L that I have is not. I measured ~.6A to the TT 2L Xenon vs. Quickbeams's reported .9A on the Xenergy's. Also the TT is ~1oz lighter than the Xenergy (not to mention 3 LED's instead of 6, obviously)

I'm definitely with you on the cumbersome switch, and also on your overall conclusion, however.

Interesting maneuver disabling the LED's on the A2. Gives you about 10% longer runtime, but then again, also takes away 10% of the output, no? I actually read somewhere else that the A2 gave ~35-40min runtime (w/o disabling LED's of course), which is just painfully short, so I'm glad to read now that it's not really as bad as that. Ultimately, I'm going to want an A2, but it's hard to justify $150; I'm hoping to see that come down a lot when production ramps up. In the meantime, the TT 2L is doing quite nicely for the paltry 30 bucks it cost.

Kill-O-Zap

I deleted my review because the TT2L just arrived from BrightGuy and the light is different enough from my Nuwai/Xenergy to invalidate some of my findings. Thanks for calling my attention to this.

Brightnorm,

Did you ever get to do a comparison between the A2 and the TT2L? I very curious how they compare.

I didn't and I've since given away my TT2L.

Sorry,
