Broken 2008 E2L Tailcap

Bought the 2008 2 level E2L a few months ago, and it has had every day use since I got it. I use it every night for putting my five year old to bed, and walking around the house after everyone else is in bed. It has an F04 beam diffuser on it, which makes it perfect at night on low. Anyway, I went to change the batteries tonight, and as I slipped the batteries out....along come the innards of the tail switch. This light is a very pampered light, and has not even taken so much as a fall to the carpet, so I don't have a clue why the switch would break so easily. It was one of the switches with the 3 white plastic retaining clips holding the innards. Oh well, I guess a call to SF is in order tomorrow. :ironic:

well, at least you have 1 more extra tailcap to tinker with

I tried putting it back together, but one of the white plastic clips is busted off, and it won't stay together. I even tried slipping the batteries down on top of it to keep the pressure on, and the clickie just doesn't work any more...
