I have a older Z-Bolt laser that is no longer working.
It is a non-leadlight unit - I believe it's the other major maker that start's with the C.
Anyway - I think it's the main driver board that's the issue.
If I apply power nothing happens off the hop but if I apply power and hold the case then simply tap the driver board (pot or some other circuts) it powers up untill I remove power.
Now I know that this is not a very detailed run though of the issue but if anyone has any suggestions I would very happy.
I am adept at working with smt soldering and would have no prob replacing components or even the whole driver board if needed.
Any Ideas?

send it to dwight finney, who works with Zbolt... he would probably help you out for cheap if not free... youre going to need a new board anyway, so see what he can do for you. call him up or drop him an email telling him in detail what the issue is and see if he can send you a new driver board.

yes, i've sent him lasers to test him out october-november last year......

still nothing. And not replying to any of the last emails (and dissapearing off msn messenger when i'm on)/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif One word to describe him, actually, i can think of 2. Incompetent and Unprofessional.

But this isn't cheers and jeers, but it will come soon. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Any other suggested sources for a driver board then?
It does not have to fit in a pointer case - I have long since removed it from the one it came in.

Yes, all familiar threads. Sadly, i didn't do my research till after i sent them away. Then i felt sick.
