here is a 160 lumen led from ebay which sells at a very competetive price compared to digikey ones, around half price.
Here are the technical details (pdf is at very end of page)
some questions:
-how reliable do you think that these will be in the long term with faliure rates?
-if you were providing decent quality lamps to customers, would you avoid them?
any other thoughts, comments and experiences with similair generic looking leds?
