Sorry if this sounds like a silly question but.....

Looking at any particular LED they seem to come in various tints,Vf's and lumen.
I can understand the desire of the manufacturer to produce different tints for different needs but what about Vf's and lumen?
Are these more to do with lack of consistency in the manufacture process?

You got it. LEDs are first made to be warm white, neutral white, or cool white, then sorted according to flux, tint, and some companies also sort by Vf.
