I purchase a Expedition 7 led light about two years ago. One of the leds is starting to flicker!
I called c crane and they sent a replacement board free of charge, but it appears to be an old
board and it has two leds flickering! Is this what C crane does when a replacment under warenty
is due?

They told me this morning to send both boards back and they will send a new 7 led board shortly.

Any of you had problems with leds not lasting or problems with C Crane sending old replacment
parts?

Thanks,

Tony

Your 2-year old board should be "loose" and not attached to the reflector. Is the new (defective) board the same way, or is it affixed to a new reflector with a white compound?

I've never dealt with C Crane, but I can identify old and new style boards and could at least tell you what C crane was sending you.

This is an old style, and the picture proves it: it was taken years ago. :/

and this is the newer style 1-piece board/reflector unit.

Hello,

The newer board is of the old style. It is not attached to a reflector and it appears to have
the contact score around the circumference.

Craig,

I have old style board. When you turn the light off,you have to turn the head at least another half turn in order to stop the light from comining on intermittently as it is shaken. Plus everything rattles around. Just curious, does the new style fix these problems?

Ccrane has always made it right for me...and I am picky. I have bought over 2 grand from them.
GOod luck
