Calling all TK41 users

Reporting back on the unreliable power button : after some playing outside in the dark, and a lot of clicking, the power button seems to be a lot better than it was. Not perfect, but a lot better than it was out of the box. This has done much to improve my mood. I sensed a smile starting to happen while looking at the beam outside. If things continue this way, I might start thinking about the TK70 again.

On hunting white walls : The tint, while having miniscule traces of a green hue on the outside of the hotspot, is mostly a pleasing yellowish/creamish white on low and even better on high. I was worried after hearing other people having issues with green tints, but I have no problem with the tint of this unit. Perhaps I'm a bit colour-blind, but 2 other people don't think its green either.

The hotspot is brighter than my TK50, but not by as much as I was expecting (possibly due to the off-centre emitter, as there are some artifacts around the hotspot). Ceiling bounce is a different story, the 800 lumens bounces a lot more light than the TK50, and lights up a room equivalent to my M2C4.

It works, you need to put them in right direction...

I've tried good in my opinion. 2 batteries with the + away from the led, and 2 batteries with the + towards the led.

(edit: I tried with the batteries in a other formation. Now with the batteries in the row next from each other.
Than it will work with 4batteries. But you must put the batts next to each other.)

I had some issues with my switches on the TK41 as well. Wouldn't go on if clicked, or just for a very short moment, couldn't switch between modes and so on.
I disassembled the TK41 and found that there was some residue (probably aluminium) in the threads and on the contact between batteryholder and head. Removed it, and everything works fine ever since.

Not sure if mine is the same problem.

It has been working almost flawlessly the last few days, and now today the power switch is malfunctioning again. If its off, I have difficulty turning it on, and once I get it to turn on, it does not want to turn off (until a dozen clicks later).

I am not feeling very happy.

I've been having trouble intermittently with my TK45 power switch as well. Switching modes always works well, but sometimes when I turn it on it doesn't work. Other times it will flash on and then turn off right away. Sometimes I will try to turn it off and it will enter strobe mode instead.

I cleaned it out a few times, and that did not seem to help. However, about a week later, I have not experienced this same behavior. I still haven't figured out what the problem is.

Has anybody found a nylon case/pouch for the TK41? I've looked around and only found cases that were to big (camera lens).

It's a nice holster. But a little bit expensive IMO.

I thought the Nite Ize Lite Stretch holster would fit this light. With it being specified to take up to 40mm diameter flashlights and the tk41 being 40mm in diameter I expected it to fit. If I try to put my tk41 into the holster it feels like it is going to break, yet I have seen photos online of the tk40 in this holster and it has the same diameter. Does anyone else have this holster/the same issue?

At 500 feet, I prefer the TK41 in turbo mode over the 35 Watt Ryobi HID. In my opinion, the TK41 just seems to put out more useable light then the Ryobi.

fenix tk41

I just recieved my fenix tk41. great power ,but has donut hole and greenish tint. Any one else have this problem? wonder if i can return and get another.

I don't have that. I do have a little bit of a green tint, but you don't see that outside.

I just got my TK41 today, does not appear to have any switch issues, but jeez, is the emitter ever off-center. I haven't tried it at night yet, hoping it does not affect the throw, but I think it will. It does not have a sharp, well-defined hotspot like some of the beam shots I've seen, probably because of the off-center emitter. The head is glued on, so you can't just take it apart and fix it like I can with most of my (budget) lights.
Pretty white beam, not greenish at all against a white wall. The spill has a bluish cast to it.

Ok, got mine yesterday, as a replacement to my much loved TK-40, which I am passing onto my Dad...

I love it - MUCH brighter than my (amazing) TK-40, and the new UI with the buttons on the neck makes it so much easier to use.. The machining is top notch, BUT they have tried to save money on the battery carrier, which although working fine, does look plain cheap next to the one in my TK-40, shame it's not interchangeable, or I'd be swapping them..

Throw on the 41, with smooth reflector, is in my opinion approx 50% further than my '40 with an OP reflector, and the beam on the '41 is way tighter, and hot in the centre..

Tint wise, on low/med, there is a definate, but nice blue/white tine - On high/turbo, it's pure white, something like the HID 6000k colour on my car....

Loving this '41!!
