I was wondering if I can run 2 Luxeon leds from my madmax-if so would the have to be in series or parallel?

The MM is not a good choice for two Luxeons in either configuration (Series or parallel).

In series, the MM will regulate to 5V which will underdrive two Luxs in series (3.4V * 2 = 6.8V).

In parallel one Luxeon will consume most of the current and the other will be underdriven. It will be very hard to balance this.

Adding a small series resistor like a .1 ohm- 1 ohm to each Luxeon will help balance a parallel combination with a small loss of power lost in the resistors. The exact value would have to done by trial and error.

For a boost configuration the BB series will drive multiple LEDs in series and regulate just fine. So will the Downboy series for a step down configuration. Both the DB and BB drive out constant current and with two in series both LEDs would have the same current flowing through them.
