topic says it all. I'm looking for a couple of cheap bodies to attach L2D heads to for attachment to an external power source. Would rather not spend the money to buy two brand new ones just to cut them up.

........ free bump !
....... so what you makin` then? ........
its very time consuming $ setting up and machining a one off (even tho its 2)

Long story short, I use my L2Ds for caving along with a P4 modded Apex. Unfortunately the weight of the three lights plus 8xAA NiMH cells adds a lot of weight and rather puts a strain on my neck. So I am going to try to move all the battery packs down off the helmet. Basically I am wanting to find some sort of a body that I can mount to a pivot and I can screw the L2D head onto it. The body would have a dummy cell with wires that run down to a battery pack setup that I could either put in a pocket or keep in the fanny pack I keep my extra batteries in. I hope to be able to find a way to mount the body to a pivot of some sort (that is permanently attached to the helmet) so that I can adjust the direction of the beam. I found that just mounting the Fenix lights to the side of my helmet had the unfortunate side effect of blinding my companions if I tried to look their direction. I don't want to hack up my original bodies so that I will have the option of removing the head from the dummy body and using it normally outside of caving situations.
