Can DJ lasers be modified like the Leadlights?

I've been checking out ebay, about these DJ lasers. Some are merely rated at 5mw like the Leadlight pointers. Since the Leadlights can be modified so greatly, and their form-factor is less then good for thermal dissapation, can these DJ lasers be modified to higher outputs as well?

Then there are models like this one:

These are rated @ 40-60mw, but if you use the "Buy it Now" feature, they will send you an 80-120mw model. What are the real differences between the 2 models? Resistors? Potentiometers?

My new greenie pointer is great, but I know that these are just the tip of the iceburg, and I need more effects!

I have an American DJ Laser Widow that used to have a 5mW red laser in it, that the person swapped out for a 35mW unit.
It does not have a green laser in it though, so I do not know if laser projectors like that can be modified or not.

Yep the 532nm can be modded.
