the picture is borrowed I hope the chap dosn't mind....

I'm building 2 battery packs both holding 2x18650 2500 mah batterys in parallel can I charge them like the guy is doing in the photo:thinking: one battery pack for each channel:thinking:

I suppose it could be done, but the results could be unpredictable as the cells may not be balanced in the packs.

I personally wouldn't try it.

As long as they are in parallel it's ok!
They will ballance one and another, as the weak one will always drag the good one down to a common level wich the charger sees. Given that they are fairly evenly discharged, ie not a fully discharged one combined with a fully charged one.

But double capacity takes twice the time so the net gain is = 0, nought, zero, zip, nill, nothing

As long as the paralleled cells are within +/- 0.5 Volts of each other, it should work. As The Dane said though, there really wouldn't be much of an advantage.

My problem with that setup would be the WF-139. I know a lot of folks swear by them, but it's the ones that swear at them, that concern me. :)
