Can I mod this?

I have a Lumapower D-mini VX Ultra. I'm curious to know, is there anything I can do to boost the output on this light to an even greater amount?

It is a great light, performs well. But, I never need the full runtime, so I would be willing to try a mod if something is possible.

Even just boosting the driver current somehow...

I think it depends what you mean by mod it. Are you talking about replacing the LED or driver for more output, or simply making some small change to the existing parts to give you more output?

Well, I suppose the cheaper the better. But, if the only way to boost power is to change the driver, I will do it.

I know the SST-50 can put out a lot more lumens than the claimed 550, right? So if I could mod the driver that is currently in there, that would be great, but like I said if my only option is replacing the driver I'll do it.

Thank you for your help. I wish I knew more about the drivers to be able to figure this one out on my own.
